Who is TeleBiz?
Our business owner Rod Harris previously owned TeleTalk, which was first Telstra Dealer appointed in Australia (1992-2005) and then switched alliances to became the first Optus Master Partner appointed in Australia (2005-2006), operating with numerous TeleTalk branches across QLD & NT. Although TeleTalk won numerous awards and was a market leader in many categories, it always operated under a single up-stream Telco provider, which limited TeleTalk’s ability to provide a greater choice of products & services to its 50,000+ growing client database. So, in 2007, Rod Harris made an unprecedented Telco sector decision and boldly established TeleBiz as an “Independent Telco Broker and Regional Service Provider (RSP)”.  Headquartered in Cairns, TeleBiz has become a very successful business model, with an excellent reputation and is developing a nationwide franchise model.
Our FNQ client database exceeds 5,000 businesses, growing weekly and we believe TeleBiz has the most successful client port-in/port-out churn ratio of any Telco RSP in Australia, at an outstanding 98:2.  TeleBiz is also an Australian regional market leader in Satellite Phones. Manager: Technical Services Department               PBX business systems          (Cairns)

We seek an experienced or aspiring “Manager of Technical Services” to proactively assist TeleBiz reach higher levels of technical capabilities in the development of our exciting business plans. The Management role will be predominantly administrative, yet highly reliant upon the Manager’s broad IT&T technical knowledge to successfully grasp and manage all facets within our fast-paced high activity service centre. Reporting to Managing Director.

Essential applicant credentials:
Mature outlook, experienced in managing IT&T Techs in a commercial environment. Appropriate business management qualifications and/or demonstrated exp/skills. Appropriate technical qualifications e.g. Certified PBX or Certified IT Network engineer. Confident, effective & friendly communication skills, with above average literacy. Excellent time management, initiative and multi-tasking skills. Effective task prioritising skills when scheduling and liaising with customers and suppliers.

Daily front-line hands-on activities include:
Assisting with the handling of inbound inquiries, ascertaining best courses of action, raising job cards, tech inventory control, scheduling jobs, occasional client site visits, maintaining best practice quality control systems, invoicing and courtesy follow-ups.

Overarching management activities include:
Assisting with forward planning: strategic, financial, HR and compliance. Managing the Service Dept within defined operational budgets and policies. Managing Dept HR performance & rewards programs, mentoring trainees and supervising training programs. OHS. Managing integrity of client maintenance registers and branch plant/equip. Maximising TeleBiz service delivery standards.

Remuneration:
Salary, car/allowance, entitlements and performance bonuses. Paid rostered day-off per month and access to a range of in-house and on-line training courses. Senior Technician:  e.g. NBN/PBX/VoIP business phone systems                                        (Cairns)
Full time position installing and maintaining our excellent quality NBN/PBX/VoIP business phone systems
TeleBiz is an authorised Sales/Service Dealer for Alcatel, Hybrex, LG Aria, NEC & Panasonic, and many others.
Essential Applicant credentials:
1. Open ACMA license with endorsements or willingness to quickly obtain such at their cost.
2. Prior experienced in installing/maintaining business phone systems or PC networks.
(you maybe an IT Technician willing to migrate to PBX systems with appropriate accredited training*).
3. Prior experience in configuring/fault finding with SIP/VOIP networks or IT routing/networks.
4. Prior experience in configuring/fault finding IT&T cabling networks (infrastructure).
5. Appropriate personal presentation with average or higher literacy
6. QLD Drivers license (or ability to obtain one) and a safe driving record.
Most importantly, we seek an aspiring Technician who takes pride in their presentation, and will ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the utmost satisfaction of all parties involved.

Technician: Voice & Data cabling                                                                                                         (Cairns)
Full time position installing and maintaining voice & data structured cabling
Opportunity to be cross trained to install/maintain PBX systems
Ideal candidates will possess:
1. Open ACMA license (with Optic etc endorsements) is a prerequisite for this position
2. Appropriate personal presentation with average of above literacy
3. QLD Drivers license and safe driving record
4. Most importantly, we seek a Technician who is self motivated with a great attitude, team player, smartly presented, accepts responsibility, is detailed and highly focused on delivering excellent customer service.
Remuneration: Base salary, vehicle/allowance, standard entitlements and $$$ performance bonuses.
Overall Total Earnings (OTE) relative to experience & ability to perform well in the role.

 

Business Systems Sales Executive — Business Phone Systems/Mobiles                               (Cairns)           Genuine opportunity to earn well over $100k per annum, with ongoing monthly trailing commissions.
Selling our very popular business NBN/PBX/VoIP solutions and discounted Business Mobile Phone plans .
This role would suit a seasoned outbound B2B sales professional with an appropriate level of IT and/or Telco knowledge, or ability to learn new-age Telco solutions very quickly.  No shortage of leads with businesses migrating to NBN and we have our own large customer database to farm. Be assured TeleBiz has the right products at the right prices, backed by our highly competent technical team.
Remuneration: Commission only, with monthly trailing airtime if minimum sales targets met.

Sales Representative (In-store): Mobile Phones / Satellite Phones                           (Cairns)
TeleBiz provides product training, professional sales training and unlimited earning potential.
Note: We have an ever-expanding range of excellent mobility products and a very receptive market! Obtain leads from our in-house 10,000+ business customer databases and/or canvass other businesses to obtain appointments. Most sales presentations will be conducted at customers’ premises.
Remuneration package: Base salary, generous $$$ commissions, plus other applicable entitlements and awards.

Sales Representative (In-house E-Marketing & Retail): Sat Phones/Mobiles/e-shop    (Cairns)
Whilst this role includes handling walk-in retail sales inquiries, it is more about taking the lead at TeleBiz in pro-actively e-marketing our excellent products and services across various CRM/social media platforms, plus regularly updating the content pages on our web site and e-shop.  So, in effect, we seek an aspiring multi-talented sales/marketing guru, with career opportunities in either direction and/or management.
Our products and services are new-age technologies and it would be advantageous if applicants have had some previous retail experience in IT or Telco eg stores such as Dick Smith, EB games, Harvey Norman, JB-HiFi, etc.
Excellent grammar is essential as role encompasses preparing e-content & distributing e-newsletters.
TeleBiz and its suppliers will provide specific product training and we may consider assisting in external training programs. Applicants must also be well presented, reliable and possess excellent communication skills eg speak clear English and have a very good phone manner.
Remuneration by way of salary and $$$ performance bonuses plus statutory entitlements.
